Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Chewelah, WA 99109

Start Date: October 5, 2026

Location: Chewelah, Washington

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), rotating weekends required. Patient ratio approximately 1:5-6. No on-call required.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a 23-bed Critical Access Hospital
• Emergency Department serving all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Average daily census of 16 patients with 7 treatment rooms and 11 total beds
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and interpretation services
• Floating between units may be required; flexibility to float to nearby sister facilities as needed
• Holiday commitment required: must work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: NRP
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Experience with combined adult/pediatric emergency care across all age groups
• Proficiency in emergency procedures including IV starts, blood product administration, triage, 12-lead EKG, BiPAP/CPAP management, and isolation precautions
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must not reside within 50-mile local radius
