Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room (ER) team. This position will involve providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Emergency Room (ER)
• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Nurse: Patient Ratio: 1:4
• Average Daily Patients: 66
• Pediatric Care: Rare (1%) - Treat and transfer

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS Certification
• NIHSS
• PALS

Shift and Scheduling Details

• Shift Hours: 7 PM - 7:30 AM
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirements: Expected to work some holidays
• Orientation: One 12-hour shift with an experienced ED RN

Unit Notes

• Trauma Level: No Trauma level
• STEMI Receiving: Yes
• Stroke Center: Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Triage Area: Yes, travelers may participate in triage if experienced
• Psych Rooms: 4 designated rooms for psych patients
• Security: In-house 24/7
• ED Staff: ED techs assist with EKGs, blood sugar testing, and patient monitoring

Qualifications

Applicants should have a minimum of one year of experience in an emergency department setting. Experience in behavioral health is preferred, along with a history of completing 1-2 assignments as a traveler.
