Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Lubbock, TX 79410

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Lubbock, Texas

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:00). Weekend coverage required: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Block scheduling is approved but not required.

Highlights:

• Level II Trauma Center with 379 staffed beds and a daily emergency department census of 136 patients
• Comprehensive stroke and STEMI-certified facility with 42 treatment rooms and 46 beds
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 across all shifts
• Interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, and interpretation services
• 36-40 hours of paid orientation to support your transition

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department experience (required)
• Current certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with patient ratios of 1:3 or similar
• Community hospital and trauma center experience preferred
• Skills required: BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilated patient care, central line care, stroke and trauma protocols, triage, IV vasopressors, dysrhythmia management, and isolation precautions
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius from the facility
