Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN with pediatric emergency skills for a Level I Trauma Center, requiring AZ or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• Main Emergency Department setting treating neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:4 across day, night, and weekend shifts
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating required

Requirements

• Active RN license (AZ or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, ENPC, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
• Pediatric ED skillset required; strong pediatric experience in a mixed ED setting is also acceptable
• Skilled in dysrhythmia interpretation and management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and IV starts
• Experience with continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration required
• Experience with CPAP/BiPAP and ventilated patients required
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and triage protocols required
• Preferred certifications: CPI and PCAR
• Preferred experience in a Level I Trauma Center setting
• Preferred skills include arterial line management, central line care, neurological and ortho-trauma cases, head injuries, near drowning, spinal cord injury, ABG interpretation, gunshot wounds, and traumatic amputations

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across the full patient age spectrum in a high-acuity trauma center environment
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Local candidates are not accepted; candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility
• Blackout dates for RTO include 10/11-10/17, 10/29-10/31, and 11/22-11/28
