Job Requirements

• Active Wisconsin RN license
• Education verification required
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current NIHSS certification
• TNCC or TNS certification required
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with a variety of acute and urgent needs
• Use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and state practice guidelines
• Document patient care accurately and consistently in the medical record
• Develop and carry out individualized plans of care based on physician orders and patient needs
• Educate patients and families as appropriate to support safe, effective care and discharge planning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support the best possible outcomes
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement, shared governance, and peer review activities
• Use sound clinical judgment to promote patient safety and escalate concerns when needed
• Support other units and departments with clinical expertise as part of the broader care team
