Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week ER Nursing Assignment in Meridian, Idaho

Join a high-acuity emergency department in Meridian, Idaho, as a Travel Registered Nurse (RN) and provide expert emergency care to adult and pediatric patients. This 13-week Idaho travel nursing assignment is ideal for an experienced ER nurse seeking a fast-paced, high-volume emergency department with approximately 170 patients daily. Work in a 45-bed emergency department treating stroke, STEMI, trauma, and other high-acuity conditions while enjoying convenient access to Boise, scenic outdoor recreation, and the welcoming Treasure Valley community.

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910–$2,010
• Location: Meridian, Idaho
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 12, 2026
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Shift Options: Various day, evening, and night start times, including 1:30 p.m.–2:00 a.m., 3:30 p.m.–4:00 a.m., and 7:30 p.m.–8:00 a.m.
• Weekend Commitment: A minimum of four weekend shifts over six weeks
• Holiday Coverage: As needed
• Charting: Epic
• Floating: Rare floating to nearby emergency departments may be required
• Call Requirement: None

Emergency Room Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Idaho
• At least 2.5 years of recent emergency department nursing experience in a large urban hospital setting
• Trauma nursing experience preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications
• Strong experience caring for both adult and pediatric emergency patients
• Ability to interpret cardiac monitoring and manage high-acuity emergency patients
• Applicants must reside outside the 50-mile local radius requirement

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for adult and pediatric patients across a broad range of acuity levels
• Care for patients experiencing stroke, STEMI, trauma, abdominal emergencies, and other critical conditions
• Recognize changes in patient condition and initiate timely interventions, stabilization, and escalation of care
• Administer and monitor critical-care medications and infusions, including nicardipine, propofol, fentanyl, norepinephrine, nitroglycerin, midazolam, and dexmedetomidine
• Perform patient assessments, medication administration, IV care, phlebotomy, wound care, and other emergency nursing procedures within scope of practice
• Read and interpret cardiac monitors while collaborating with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and support staff
• Support rapid assessment, resuscitation, trauma response, and safe patient transfer when indicated
• Document care accurately in Epic and contribute to efficient patient flow in a high-volume emergency department
