Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license, ACLS, and PALS certification for night shift coverage.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within an acute care hospital
• Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM
• 13-week contract assignment

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA or ARC approved vendor)
• ACLS certification required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
• PALS certification required (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS)
• Minimum 3 years of recent ER experience required, within the last 3 months
• BSN degree preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• No prior adverse licensure action permitted
• Cerner or Epic experience must be documented in employment history if applicable

Additional Information

• Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients following established standards and the nursing process
• Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff across various levels
• Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to ensure safe, humane, and caring treatment
• Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning to support continuity of care
• Delegate tasks appropriately and coordinate duties among healthcare team members
• Required to complete facility vaccination requirements as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction; local pay rates match travel rates
• Traveler may only be placed at one facility within the health system at a time
