Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ER experience and multiple advanced certifications.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital required
• Level I Trauma Center environment

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS
• CPI and ENPC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred but not required
• Skills in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management required
• Experience with respiratory care of ventilated patients and continuous IV sedation preferred
• Triage skills preferred
• At least one professional reference required for consideration

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered only if they have Level I ER experience
• Travel experience preferred but not required
• Requests for time off longer than one week will not be approved except under special circumstances, and all RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration
• Local candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Former staff must have been separated from all affiliated facilities for at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
