Travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Jobs – Level II Trauma Center in Lubbock, Texas

Experienced ER RNs can join a high-volume Level II Trauma Center in Lubbock, Texas, for a 13-week travel nursing contract with competitive weekly pay. This on-site travel Registered Nurse opportunity is ideal for an Emergency Department nurse who thrives in a fast-paced setting and confidently cares for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients. Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,940–$2,040
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• Shift: Day shift, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Schedule: Three 12-hour shifts per week; 36 hours per week
• Healthcare Setting: Emergency Department within a short-term acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:3
• Patient Volume: Approximately 136 visits per day
• Weekend Requirement: Six weekend shifts per six weeks
• Call: Not required
• Orientation: 36 hours

Travel ER Registered Nurse Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Emergency Department or emergency room nursing experience; this is a required qualification
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; a compact license must be active and in hand at submission when applicable
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Previous experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting is required
• Community hospital experience is required
• Level II Trauma Center experience is preferred
• Previous charge nurse experience is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to provide emergency nursing care for adolescent, adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
• Two professional references covering at least one year of experience within the past three years
• Flexibility to work three of five designated holidays when scheduled

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely, and compassionate emergency nursing care in a high-volume Emergency Department
• Perform patient triage, focused assessments, reassessments, and prioritization of care
• Care for patients presenting with stroke, STEMI, chest pain, abdominal pain, trauma, NSTEMI, shortness of breath, asthma, genitourinary complaints, headaches, sore throats, and lacerations
• Support comprehensive stroke, cardiac, and trauma care processes
• Manage patients requiring BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator support, IV vasopressors, central line care, isolation precautions, and dysrhythmia management
• Administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and promptly escalate changes in condition
• Collaborate with respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, interpretation services, transportation, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and communicate effectively during patient handoffs
