Start Date: September 8, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (06:00 - 18:00); Weekend requirement of 3 out of 6 weekends; Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment in a Level 3 trauma center with Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP) designation
• Busy emergency department with 135 visits per day, 20 rooms, 26 beds, and average daily census of 105
• Patient ratio of 4:1 with interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
• Float to Observation Unit covering ER hold patients; may float to affiliate facilities in the region
• 40 hours of paid orientation to support your transition
• First-time travelers welcome; Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements:

• Active California RN license in hand (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of emergency department nursing experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS; TNCC and ENPC preferred (TNCC must be obtained prior to start if not currently certified)
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Comprehensive ER skills including trauma care, ventilator management, blood product administration, procedural sedation, and care across all age groups (neonates through geriatrics)
