Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level 3 Trauma Center, requiring ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and BLS certifications with a compact or IA license.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM-7:00 PM (12-hour shifts)
• Every third weekend required, working 36 or 48 hours per week
• No on-call requirements
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (IA or Compact)
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Skills checklist specific to ER required
• Supervisory reference/performance evaluation completed within the last two years required

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Provide comprehensive care and management to emergency department patients
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
• Prior UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN float pool) are restricted from working travel assignments in another market within 12 months of separation
• Holiday coverage required, with travelers expected to work 2 of 3 major winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods in late November and December
