Assignment Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Room team. The ideal candidate will provide patient-centered care in a dynamic, fast-paced emergency setting. Candidates with a minimum of one year of experience and new travelers are welcome.
Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: As Needed and agreed upon
Medication System: Pyxis
Documentation System: MediTech
Communication System: Vocera
Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Patient Diagnoses: All types related to ED presentation
Special Procedures/Unit Details: All standard ED procedures
Responsibilities
Provide care to neonates through geriatrics in a high-acuity setting
Conduct interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
Administer blood products and IV sedation
Perform phlebotomy and manage central lines
Initiate and maintain various emergency department procedures
Adhere to isolation precautions and procedural sedation administration
Qualifications
Required:
ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications
1 year of Emergency Department experience
Proficiency in general emergency department functions and management of dysrhythmias
Skillful in phlebotomy and IV administration
Preferred:
Experience with MediTech charting system
PEL/VIP Job ID #64859602. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
