Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend required | Every other holiday required, if needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and geriatric patients across all emergency-type diagnoses at a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5
• Perform and manage IV therapy including blood product administration, central line care, phlebotomy, and IV vasopressors
• Manage ventilator-dependent patients and administer CPAP/BiPAP therapy
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, managing dysrhythmias as needed
• Care for patients presenting with CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI
• Conduct triage, maintain isolation precautions, and utilize special equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment; float within skillset as required

Required Qualifications

• Active New York Single State RN license required at time of submission (NY is not a Compact state; pending licenses are not accepted)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required — must be included at time of submission
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical experience required
• Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with gunshot wounds, orthopedic trauma, and pediatric emergency care
• Familiarity with pediatric spinal cord injury management
• Prior travel nursing experience (first-time travelers are also welcome to apply)
