Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Portland, OR 97213

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon metropolitan area

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other weekend required. 4:1 patient ratio. Daily census of 160 patients with approximately 183 visits per day in a 73-bed emergency department.

Highlights:

• Work in a 418-bed short-term acute care facility serving a diverse metropolitan patient population
• Stroke and STEMI certified facility with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
• Care for all age groups from neonates to geriatrics in a combined adult/pediatric emergency department
• Epic charting system with 12-hour orientation provided
• First-time travelers welcome with 3+ years of experience; non-first timers require 2+ years of experience
• Opportunity to work with walk-in trauma patients and inpatient behavioral health boarding patients

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of emergency department nursing experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• Epic charting system experience required
• NIHSS and TNCC certifications preferred
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for this assignment
• Willingness to float to other units based on departmental needs and skill sets
• Ability to work 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• Two professional references covering one year of experience within the last three years
