Travel RN opportunity in a fast-paced Emergency Department in the welcoming Eastern Shore community of Easton, Maryland. Join a busy community hospital ED and provide high-acuity emergency nursing care across all age groups, from pediatrics to geriatrics. This 13-week travel nursing contract offers rotating night and evening shifts, with a primary need for nights, and is ideal for an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse with strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and flexibility.

Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000-$2,110

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license at the time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• Community hospital Emergency Department experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from AHA
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• CPI certification completed during onboarding
• Strong experience caring for patients across all age groups
• Ability to thrive in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency care setting
• Comfortable working rotating shifts and floating within scope as needed

Emergency Department Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with a wide range of diagnoses and acuity levels
• Assess, triage, and prioritize care for infants, pediatric patients, adults, and geriatric patients
• Perform emergency nursing interventions such as IV starts, medication administration, wound care, splinting, and EKG acquisition
• Support critical care situations including stroke, STEMI, respiratory distress, seizures, overdose, and behavioral health emergencies
• Monitor and manage complex patients requiring ventilator support, sedation, vasopressors, and dysrhythmia treatment
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other interdisciplinary healthcare team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic
• Contribute to a collaborative Emergency Department team while adapting quickly to changing patient needs and patient flow
