Job Requirements

• Associate degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Current Massachusetts RN license required
• ACLS upon hire, or active BLS with AHA ACLS obtained within 60 days of hire
• AHA PALS within 6 months of hire
• 3-5 years of Emergency Department or Emergency Room nursing experience preferred
• TNCC, ENPC, and CEN preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, teamwork, communication, and prioritization skills

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care using established standards, protocols, and policies
• Perform initial assessments, triage, reassessments, and timely clinical documentation
• Administer medications, IV therapy, vasoactive drips, thrombolytics, and anticoagulation therapy safely and accurately
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret diagnostic results, and escalate changes promptly
• Support airway management, including care of intubated patients, suctioning, troubleshooting, and weaning
• Provide patient and family education and assist with discharge planning
• Recognize and respond to abuse, violence, restraint needs, and safety risks in accordance with policy
• Maintain chain of evidence and complete required reporting for forensic and trauma-related cases
• Collaborate closely with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
