Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Emergency Room (ER) care to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing efficient and compassionate care to patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Shift Information

• Work Schedule: 3x12 hour shifts per week
• Holiday rotation required; candidates must be available to work 1-2 of the three upcoming Winter holidays, unless the unit is closed
• Weekend requirements: Every 4th weekend
• No on-call responsibilities

Floating Requirements

Candidates must be willing to float across multiple locations within the region, including various facilities. Flexibility is necessary based on unit needs and pertinent skill set.

Unit Information

• Patient Types: Behavioral health, pediatrics, adults
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Bed Size: 18
• Drips: Sedation, vasoactive
• Scrubs: Navy blue, solid colors

Qualifications

• Minimum of 36 months of experience in Emergency Medicine
• Experience in caring for both pediatric and adult patients
• Experience with behavioral health patients is highly preferred
• Proficiency in administering drips, including sedation and vasoactive medications
• Ability to read, measure, and interpret telemetry strips
• Active TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification is required
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records is preferred
• Level II trauma experience is required; Level I trauma experience is preferred

Certification Requirements

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
