Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a night-shift assignment requiring ACLS, BLS, PALS certifications and Epic EMR experience.

Details

• Level II Trauma Center emergency department serving combined adult/pediatric patients
• 4:1 patient ratio
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to other units and sister facilities based on skill set and unit needs
• No on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; NIHSS and TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ER RN experience required; first-time travelers considered with 3+ years of experience
• Epic EMR experience required
• Compact RN license must be in hand at time of submission
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years required
• Must disclose any prior employment history with Providence facilities
• Skilled in triage, cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and 12-lead EKG interpretation
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE protocols

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases
• Perform procedures such as IV therapy, phlebotomy, and management of ventilated or sedated patients
• Must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process
• Local candidates accepted at lower bill rate; radius rule of 50 miles applies
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months and reside outside a 50-mile radius before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers welcome if they meet minimum experience requirements
• Any color scrubs accepted for this unit
