Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Kearney, Nebraska.
Typical Populations/Cases: Cardiac, Telestroke Program.
Weekends: Every other to every 3rd.
Holidays: In rotation with team.
Scrubs: Black or Charcoal Gray.
Orientation: 2 shifts with preceptor.
Beds/Trauma Bays: 2 Triage, 5 Treatment, 1 Trauma Bay.
Psych/Seclusion Rooms: No.
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:4.
Floating: Not typically; may have Med Surg holds.
EMR: EPIC.
Shift Times: 6-6.
Tele/Monitor Techs? GE equipment, hard-wired in room and at the nurses’ station.
Patients/Day? ~20 (influx during flu season).
Charge Nurse? Yes.
Nurse Aides? Yes (1 day shift, 1 night shift).
Lab? Both Lab Techs and RNs draw labs.
RNs must have strong IV skills.
RRTs? Yes, 24/7.
Physicians? Yes, 24/7.
Pharmacy? Yes, 24/7.
Security? Yes, at ER entrance 24/7.
