Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a general Emergency Department position requiring Cerner experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Work in a General Emergency Department treating combined adult and pediatric patients
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday required
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact or MD state license) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required; ENCP and TNCC preferred
• 3+ years of ED experience required, with 4-5 years of strong ED experience preferred
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment
• Must pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with a minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Skilled in IV therapy/phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, and administration of emergency medications
• Experience with procedural sedation administration/monitoring
• Preferred skills include blood product administration, central line care/management, and care of ventilated patients

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care to a combined adult and pediatric patient population
• Perform triage and maintain isolation precautions/PPE protocols
• Previous charge experience preferred
• First-time travelers are not eligible; prior travel assignment experience is required
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower pay rate
• Candidates with previous employment at this health system must have been separated for at least one year before returning as a traveler
