Registered Nurse - Emergency Room (ER) - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM, 4x12-hour schedule, every other weekend and holiday required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room will provide critical care to adult patients in a fast-paced setting. The role requires expertise in emergency care, rapid patient assessments, and effective management of various emergency diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Administer IV therapy, including blood product administration and maintenance of central lines.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias.
• Provide care for neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries.
• Conduct evaluations and triage patients in a high-volume ED.
• Ensure isolation precautions and other safety protocols are followed.
• Participate in rapid response and emergency treatment of critical patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York State RN license (not compact).
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an RN in an emergency settings preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting system is mandatory.
• Ability to float within skillset as needed.
