Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position on night shift, requiring an active IL RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM
• Weekend rotation required every third weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Will float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required; IA license must be applied for
• Current certifications required: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS, and de-escalation certification
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Work history/resume required for consideration
• Skills checklist completed within 1 year required for consideration
• One supervisory reference from within 2 years of employment/contract required for consideration

Additional Information

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge as part of an interdisciplinary care team
• Provide direct patient care and management within the Emergency Department
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No block scheduling available
• Must have a taxable address outside of 50 miles from the facility
• Required to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving)
• Limited to 1 day off request during the Thanksgiving and winter holiday blackout periods
• Candidates employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
