Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a weekend night shift assignment requiring charge nurse capability and specialty certifications.

Details

• Emergency Department and Urgent Care setting seeing both adult and pediatric patients
• 17 staffed beds
• Night shift, 3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30, weekends only
• Patient ratio of 1:4
• No on-call requirement
• No floating outside of the hospital and affiliate hospitals nearby
• Uses Epic charting system
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active MN RN license required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
• Minimum 2 years of ED experience required
• Strong ED experience with charge nurse capability required
• Preferred experience with Epic/Excellian charting system
• Experience with triage and conscious sedation required
• Skilled in caring for a wide range of ED presentations including trauma, psychiatric, cardiac, respiratory, and pediatric emergencies
• One supervisor reference required for consideration
• Documentation required for consideration: date of birth, SSN, copy of certifications, Nursys verification, and RTO

Additional Information

• Provide emergency and urgent care nursing across a broad range of adult and pediatric diagnoses
• Perform triage, conscious sedation, and charge nurse duties as needed
• Free parking available in unrestricted surface lot spaces
• Must be gone at least 3 months from last shift worked as a perm employee (staff or per diem) to be eligible for return
• RTO requests should be no more than 5 days
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• No more than every other weekend off, as this position requires working every weekend
