Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Emergency Department – Newberg, OR 97132

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Newberg, Oregon – Greater Portland metropolitan area

Schedule: Variable Night and Mid shifts available, 3x12-Hour (Night: 19:00 - 07:00; Mid: 14:00 - 02:00). Every other weekend required. Patient ratio 1:4. No on-call required.

Highlights:

• 13-week travel assignment at a 60-bed Short Term Acute Care facility with Level IV Trauma Center designation
• Small Emergency Department serving diverse patient populations of all ages in a community setting just outside a major metropolitan area
• Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including Pharmacy, Respiratory Services, Physical Therapy, and Rapid Response Teams
• 15-bed Emergency Department with approximately 80 visits per day
• First-time travelers welcome; 36-40 hours of paid orientation provided
• Opportunity to work in a collaborative environment with flexible scrub color policy and free parking

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse license (Compact license accepted and must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience with 1:4 patient ratios
• Community hospital and Level II Trauma Center experience preferred
• Proficiency in emergency nursing skills including triage, trauma stabilization, cardiac care, medication administration, IV therapy, and management of diverse patient conditions across all age groups
• Must have reliable personal vehicle for this assignment
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check required
