Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center requiring a permanent MA license and telemetry skills.

Details

• Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00
• Shift may occasionally flex up to 4 hours earlier or later based on urgent staffing needs
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations, must be able to work all 7 days
• EPIC experience preferred

Requirements

• Active, permanent MA RN license required in hand
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required, 2+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
• Skilled in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management/interpretation
• Triage experience preferred
• Experience in Psych/Behavioral Health ED a plus
• 2 professional references required, at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care in a high-acuity, Level I Trauma Center
• Must pass two pass/fail exams during orientation: a medication exam and a telemetry exam, each with only 1 attempt allowed
• Failure to pass either exam will result in immediate cancellation of the contract
• Study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews (FDIs) to help prepare for exams
• Completion of pre-start and orientation modules required, with additional annual modules
• Holiday coverage includes 1 major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's) as part of RTO
• Up to 14 days of RTO can be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed in the first week
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 200-mile radius
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this role
