Start Date: November 2, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Weekend requirement of 3 out of 6 weekends. Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract.

Highlights:

• 26-bed Emergency Department with 20 treatment rooms serving an average daily census of 105 patients and approximately 135 visits per day
• Level 3 Trauma Center designated as an Emergency Department Approved for Pediatrics (EDAP)
• 4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio across all shifts with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and lift teams
• Float coverage to Observation Unit for ER hold patients; opportunity to care for all age groups from neonates to geriatrics
• Epic charting system with 40 hours of paid orientation
• First-time travelers welcome with at least 1 year of Emergency Department experience

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at time of submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and ENPC required
• TNCC certification preferred or willingness to obtain prior to start date
• Experience with 4:1 patient ratios and Epic charting system preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years required
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius or willing to accept adjusted compensation
