Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center on an evening shift schedule, requiring an active MA RN license and 1-2 years of recent ER experience.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a Level I Trauma Center
• Evening shift schedule, 3x12 hours (3:00 PM - 3:00 AM)
• Shift start time may flex up to four hours earlier or later based on department need
• Every other weekend/every other holiday rotation required
• Uses Epic for charting
• OB experience and cardiac drip titration skills preferred

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• 1-2 years of recent ER nursing experience required, 2 years strongly preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC, and critical care drip titration
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills in respiratory care, ventilated patient management, IV sedation, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
• Triage and Psych/Behavioral Health ED experience preferred
• Two professional references required, with at least one from a Nurse Manager or higher

Additional Information

• Provide emergency department nursing care within a union facility with no special scheduling accommodations, requiring availability to work all 7 days
• Must pass two pass/fail exams during orientation (medication exam and telemetry exam), each with one attempt allowed; failure results in immediate contract cancellation
• Study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews to support exam preparation
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 75-mile radius
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Up to 14 days of requested time off may be submitted for review, with no RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
