WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in New Haven, Connecticut.

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses to join our Emergency Department team in New Haven, CT. This role offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing critical care to a diverse patient population. New Haven is a vibrant city known for its rich history, cultural diversity, and renowned educational institutions, making it an ideal location for both professional and personal growth.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to patients in the Emergency Department, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, utilizing advanced clinical skills to stabilize and treat patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, specialists, and support staff, to deliver comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient information and care accurately using the Epic charting system.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to maintain and enhance clinical skills.
  • Float between campuses as required to meet facility needs, while adhering to scope of practice.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting is required.
  • Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) are mandatory.
  • Experience with Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Epic charting system is preferred.
  • Ability to manage a patient ratio of 1:6 effectively.
  • Flexibility to work every other weekend and accommodate block scheduling needs.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
