Join our team as an ER Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ER) at a leading acute-care hospital in Santa Clarita, CA. We are looking for committed professionals who are ready to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. This is a contract position with a focus on delivering high-quality nursing services to patients in critical situations.

**Important Notes:** Candidates must be 100% committed to the role. If a candidate accepts and later cancels or is canceled, they will be marked a DNR. Please note that travel pairs are not allowed, and every other weekend is required or more, depending on unit needs. Possible floating may be required.

Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, MAB, NIHSS, PALS

• General Emergency Department - Combined Adult/Pedi
• Level II Trauma Center
• STEMI Certified Facility
• Stroke Certified Facility
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
• Obtain 12 lead EKG
• Arterial line management
• Blood product administration
• Central line care/management
• Phlebotomy and starting IVs
• Continuous IV paralytics and sedation
• Emergency medications and IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration
• CVA and ICP monitoring
• Neuro-trauma management
• Spinal cord and traumatic brain injury management
• Manage and apply splints for ortho-trauma
• Assessment and management of abdominal pain, asthma, burns, and head injuries
• Identifying and reporting abuse, infections, and mental/behavioral health conditions
• Management of near drowning, poison ingestion, respiratory infections, seizures, and sickle cell crisis
• Skin disorders and urinary tract infections
• Acute psychosis and drug overdose management
• Managing violent behavior, psychiatric holds, and suicidal patients
• Chest tube insertion/management and CPAP/BiPAP
• Interpretation of ABGs and intubation for ventilated patients
• Management of gunshot wounds and traumatic amputations
• Isolation precautions and triage
