Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ER RN for a Level I Trauma Center position requiring active MA RN licensure and telemetry interpretation skills.

Details

• Level I Trauma Center Emergency Department setting
• Evening shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 3:30 AM
• Rare shift flexibility of up to 4 hours before or after start time only for urgent staffing needs
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Union facility with no special scheduling accommodations; must be able to work all 7 days

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required in hand
• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience required, 2+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Preferred certifications: NIHSS, TNCC
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry
• Skilled in respiratory care, ventilated patient care, cardiac monitoring, and dysrhythmia management/interpretation
• Experience with triage preferred
• Experience in Psych/Behavioral Health ED settings

Additional Information

• Must pass a telemedication exam and a telemetry exam at orientation, each with one attempt; failure results in contract cancellation
• Multiple study materials provided during compliance process and facility-directed interviews to prepare for exams
• Holiday coverage required for one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year)
• Priority given to candidates with minimal RTO and 26-week contract length
• No RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate within a 200-mile radius
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
• Assignment lengths available range from 13 to 26 weeks, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week
