Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience.

Details

• Work in a combined adult/pediatric general Emergency Department
• STEMI and Stroke certified facility handling shock/trauma cases
• Approximately 135 visits per day with 20 rooms/26 beds and an average daily census of 105
• Night shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 18:00 to 06:00
• Weekend requirement of 3 out of 6
• Floating required to the Observation Unit for ER Hold patients
• No on-call requirement

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required at time of submission (pending license not accepted)
• Minimum of 1 year of ER experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certification: ENPC
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

Additional Information

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of conditions including pediatrics, psychiatric, respiratory, neurological, and trauma cases
• Skilled in triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and management of dysrhythmias
• May float between sister facilities as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
• Own scrubs permitted, no prints allowed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius for consideration at the local rate
• Former permanent employees may return as travelers after a 3-month waiting period, provided they are not within 50 miles of the facility
