Join our team as an ER Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department (ER) at a leading acute-care hospital in Downey, CA. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and skilled RN to work on a contract basis, providing critical care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires a commitment to night shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts per week, from 19:00 to 07:30. We are looking for candidates with at least two years of experience in the Emergency Department, as well as the following required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and PALS.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Emergency Department duties for both adult and pediatric patients
• Management of dysrhythmias and arterial line management
• Blood product administration and central line care/management
• Phlebotomy and starting IVs
• Continuous IV sedation and administration of IV vasopressors
• Procedural sedation administration
• Monitoring for CVA and ICP
• Handling neuro-trauma, spinal cord injuries, and traumatic brain injuries
• Responding to ortho-trauma and head injuries
• Managing cases of near drowning, gunshot wounds, and traumatic amputations
• Implementing isolation precautions and triage

Additional Requirements:

• Must be willing to work every other weekend
• Must be available to work holidays
• RTO must be submitted at the time of application; no RTO for the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 3 days RTO allowed
• Once RTO is submitted, changes can only be made to cancel requested time off
