Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring at least 2 years of recent ER experience and prior travel assignment history.

Details

• Work in the Emergency Department of a short-term acute care, Level I Trauma Center
• Day shift schedule, 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• On-call required as needed
• Weekend rotation required as needed, with possible weekend block scheduling
• May be floated between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
• Willingness to work up to 48 hours may be required

Requirements

• Active RN license in TN or a compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines
• Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience required, 3+ years preferred
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• Large hospital experience preferred
• At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• ADN accepted for this position
• Driver's license copy required for consideration
• Vaccination status required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver emergency nursing care within a Level I Trauma Center setting
• First-time travelers not accepted unless they have over 3 years of recent ER experience
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Former travelers who completed a full year assignment must wait 1 full year before returning
• Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of consideration and will not be honored if submitted later
• Local candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered
