Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certification.
Details
- Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital setting
- Day shift schedule with 36/48 hour rotations, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BSN preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- Minimum 3 years of ER specialty experience required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM)
- No prior negative licensure actions permitted
- Cerner and/or Epic experience must be documented in employment history if applicable
Additional Information
- Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned ER patients according to established standards and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff while coordinating care with other disciplines
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care priorities
- Develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to provide safe, humane, and caring treatment
- Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
- Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members as appropriate
- Located within the Adventist Health network in the Glendale, CA area, near Burbank and Pasadena
- Facility holds Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center
- All required vaccinations are a condition of employment
