Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a CA RN license, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certification.

Details

  • Work in the Emergency Department of an acute care hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule with 36/48 hour rotations, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required
  • BSN preferred
  • Acute care facility experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of ER specialty experience required
  • Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) or Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM)
  • No prior negative licensure actions permitted
  • Cerner and/or Epic experience must be documented in employment history if applicable

Additional Information

  • Deliver coordinated nursing care to assigned ER patients according to established standards and the nursing process
  • Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff while coordinating care with other disciplines
  • Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care priorities
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans and evaluate patient progress toward outcomes
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to provide safe, humane, and caring treatment
  • Provide patient and family education and participate in discharge planning for continuity of care
  • Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members as appropriate
  • Located within the Adventist Health network in the Glendale, CA area, near Burbank and Pasadena
  • Facility holds Magnet designation from the American Nurses Credentialing Center
  • All required vaccinations are a condition of employment
  • Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off (RTO) will not be considered
  • Local candidates accepted with rates equal to travel rates and no radius restriction
