Description

American Traveler is hiring a Float Pool RN - Pediatrics with Level I trauma experience for a night shift position requiring PALS certification.

Details

• Float Pool position covering medical, surgical, medical specialty, hem/onc, and step-down units
• May also float to NICU for feeder-grower patients
• Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Weekends and holidays required

Requirements

• Active RN license (Oklahoma or multistate compact eNLC)
• Current BLS and PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
• 3 years of Level I trauma experience required for floating assignments
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
• Strong knowledge of nursing theory, practices, and techniques
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care to an assigned patient population with a range of health conditions
• Document patient responses to interventions and treatments, and note physician order changes
• Assist physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic or treatment procedures
• Administer medications and manage IV infusions and blood products
• Communicate care plans with patients and families, including discharge education
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Compliance documentation must be completed promptly, as start dates will not be pushed
