Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool Days position requiring 3+ years of experience and an active NH or compact RN license.

Details

• Float Pool position within a hospital setting, floating across medical/surgical units
• Day shift schedule, 7a-7p
• 13-week assignment
• Defined workweek runs Sunday 12:01am through the following Saturday 11:59pm

Requirements

• Active NH or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; ACLS also listed as a general certification requirement
• Minimum 3 years of RN experience required
• Graduate of an approved nursing program preferred
• Basic Dysrhythmia course preferred or required to be completed prior to end of orientation
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training preferred or required to be completed prior to end of orientation

Additional Information

• Provide professional nursing care including comprehensive clinical documentation and care plans each shift
• Communicate patient information through bedside shift report, multidisciplinary rounds, and hourly rounding
• Participate in daily unit-based safety huddles and quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with nurses across departments and may serve as preceptor for new staff
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of nurse-sensitive indicators such as CAUTI, CLABSI, C-diff, HAPU, falls, and VAE
• Dysrhythmia course completion required prior to finishing orientation for telemetry-based departments
• COVID-19 vaccination not required
