Description

American Traveler is hiring a RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring Level 1 Trauma and Epic charting experience.

Details

Float pool role within a hospital setting, floating to various Med/Surg units as needed
May float to inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs
Night shift schedule, 7:00PM - 7:30AM
3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
Varied weekend and holiday shift requirements
No on-call responsibilities
Uses Epic EMR system

Requirements

Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary license accepted)
Current BLS and ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum one year of relevant nursing experience
ASN required, BSN preferred
Level 1 Trauma experience required
Epic charting experience required

Additional Information

Provides direct nursing care and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members across various patient populations
Completes initial patient assessments and develops individualized plans of care
Implements and modifies nursing interventions based on continuous patient evaluation
May precept staff from various units as needed
Completes Unit Nurse Leader Training as needed
Reports and corrects safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety
Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
Requires a 6-month break in service after 1 year of continuous assignment before returning to this health system
