Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN for a 13-week hospital assignment requiring 2 years of Med/Surg experience and an active OR RN license.

Details

• Float Pool role requiring rotation between the Medical Care Unit, Post Surgical Unit, and Intermediate Care Unit/PCU
• Hospital serves patients across pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology, oncology, diabetes/renal care, geriatrics, and emergency medicine
• Day shift schedule with 12-hour shifts
• Client may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment

Requirements

• Active OR RN license required (compact license not accepted)
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience required
• Recent hospital experience required within the past 5 years
• Resume and skills checklist (completed within the past year) required for consideration
• Willing to obtain OR license and certifications prior to start if not yet active

• Applies the nursing process within RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
• Educates patients and family members and documents care within the medical record
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care
• Responds effectively to patient crisis and emergency situations
• Requires flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing patient and unit needs
• Friendly, helpful attitude with willingness to float to varied units
• No more than 5 days of RTO may be requested during the assignment
