Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care as a Registered Nurse within a Medical-Surgical Float Pool setting at a large academic medical center
Float to various Medical-Surgical units as needed to meet patient care demands
Utilize the Epic electronic medical records system to document and manage patient information accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver safe, high-quality patient outcomes
Adhere to facility dress code and unit-specific protocols and procedures

Required Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in New York State
Epic EMR experience is required
Minimum of 1 year of experience at a 600+ bed academic hospital (with passing competency test score) or 2 years of experience (no competency testing required)
Competency assessment must be completed within 24 hours of submission
Navy blue scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

2 or more years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience in a large academic hospital setting
Prior float pool experience with demonstrated ability to adapt quickly across multiple units
