Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a 600+ bed academic hospital, or 2 years of experience without competency testing
• Epic experience required
• Ability to complete competency testing within 24 hours of submission, if applicable
• Experience in medical-surgical nursing and post-surgical care preferred
• Comfort working with patients with TPN, NG tubes, and central lines
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for post-operative colorectal and urologic surgery patients
• Monitor patients and respond to changing clinical needs in a fast-paced surgical recovery setting
• Collaborate closely with wound ostomy and continence nurses for ostomy and wound care support
• Manage and assess patients with TPN, NG tubes, and central lines
• Document care accurately in Epic
• Follow unit protocols, maintain patient safety, and deliver compassionate bedside care
