Job Summary: Gastroenterology Laboratory (GI LAB) in Highland Park, Illinois. This position involves assisting physicians during gastrointestinal and endoscopy procedures in a fast-paced procedural environment. The role requires flexibility with start times between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., with scheduled hours of an 8-hour shift, and a commitment to 36-40 hours per week.
Job Details:
Location: Highland Park, Illinois
Schedule: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with flexibility to start anytime between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., 36-40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license, CPR certification, ACLS certification, Epic electronic health record experience, minimum of 2+ years of GI Lab/Endoscopy, PACU, or Tele Admission and Recovery experience, ability to pass an EKG test on the first day, valid license/certification responsibilities
Material/Equipment: Olympus scopes, endoscopy supplies from various well-known manufacturers
Procedural Expectations: Assist physician during GI and endoscopy procedures, with 30-60 cases per day
Notes: Epic experience required, no more than 7 days off, potential floating to Skokie, Evanston, or Glenbrook facilities
Weekend and Holiday Requirements: No weekend shifts; facility closed on holidays, so no guaranteed hours on holiday weeks
Submission Requirements: Updated resume, one work reference from within the last year, Illinois license, skills checklist, and proof of EKG test passing score of 80% or higher before start date
Additional Information: Orientation scheduled on Mondays, credentials due by Thursday prior to the start date
