• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,110 - $2,220
• Schedule: Days, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend and to fill holes as needed
• Holiday Requirement: Holiday rotation and coverage as needed
• Charting System: EPIC
• Orientation: Classroom orientation plus 2 unit shifts with a preceptor

Job Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• At least 1 year of ICU, critical care, or similarly high-acuity nursing experience
• Experience caring for ventilated and sedated patients in a critical care setting
• Ability to titrate vasopressors, sedation, and pain control drips
• Experience with PEG tube care/feedings, CVC/PICC/Midline access and maintenance, and tracheostomy care
• Comfortable working with telemetry monitoring and a variety of critical care drips
• Willingness to float to the med-surg unit when needed
• Must be able to provide required submission details, including requested time off and necessary identification information
• Negative drug screen required prior to start

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in an 8-bed ICU with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:2-3
• Care for patients with respiratory failure, post-surgical needs, wound care needs, IV antibiotics, post-CVA conditions, post-trauma injuries, and cardiac concerns
• Provide skilled management for ventilated, trached, and critically ill patients
• Titrate and monitor ICU-level drips, including vasoactive, sedation, pain control, and cardiac medications
• Monitor telemetry and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with respiratory therapy, providers, and the broader care team to support patient recovery
• Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC and uphold strong clinical standards
• Support safe, efficient unit flow while adapting to weekend, holiday, and floating needs
