Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a High Acuity IMC Cardiovascular Unit position requiring compact RN licensure and ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in a High Acuity 20-bed Intermediate Care (IMC) Cardiovascular Unit within a hospital setting
• Care for critically ill patients requiring continuous monitoring with advanced medical equipment such as ventilators and cardiac monitors
• Night shift schedule from 18:45-07:15
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Active RN license (Compact required)
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• Primary source license verification required within 30 days prior to start

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Administer medications, fluids, and treatments accurately and in accordance with physician orders
• Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition and emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
• Follow strict infection control protocols to minimize risk of infection
• Willingness to precept required
• Supportive team environment with strong working relationships across hospital departments
