Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and process tissue specimens for microscopic examination
- Perform routine and special staining techniques with precision
- Operate and maintain histology equipment to ensure quality results
- Collaborate with pathologists and lab team to support accurate diagnoses
- Maintain detailed records and follow strict quality control protocols
Qualifications
- ASCP certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) preferred
- Previous experience in a histology laboratory setting
- Proficiency with Epic laboratory information systems required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in tissue embedding, microtomy, and cryotomy
- Knowledge of safety and infection control practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and documentation skills
