Job Summary:
Histologist in the specialty of Histology at an acute care facility. This position involves performing routine hospital anatomical pathology specimen processing, including grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and special procedures such as immunohistochemistry and manual special stains. The role requires working nights, Sunday through Thursday, with a schedule of 8 hours per shift and a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Science, 2 years of histology experience including hospital experience, specific experience with grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining (automated IHC and special stains), and familiarity with histology laboratory procedures. Valid compact state license accepted and pending licenses are also accepted.
• Certifications: ASCP-HT.
• Schedule: Night shifts, Sunday to Thursday, 8 hours per shift, 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Must have at least 1 year of experience in hospital histology, with grossing experience as a hard stop. Candidates should not reach out directly to facility contacts unless for an interview. References covering 1 year within the last 3 years are required, including 6 months for CNAs. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities; refusal to float may result in contract termination. No call-in policies are in effect, and all modules for onboarding are non-billable but must be completed pre-start and during orientation.
