Shift: Evening Shift (Monday–Friday, 5:00 PM – 1:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week

- Optional floating based on facility needs
- No on-call requirement
Travel Weekly Gross pay: $1650 - $1738/ week (Includes taxable and non-taxable amount)
Job Summary:We are Northside Hospital Atlanta is seeking an experienced
Histotechnologist (HT/HTL) for a 13-week travel assignment in a busy
Pathology Laboratory. The ideal candidate will have strong histology experience and be proficient in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and pathology laboratory workflows.
Responsibilities:- Receive and accession pathology specimens into Cerner.
- Collect tissue blocks from Pathologist Assistants (PA staff).
- Process tissue specimens for histologic examination.
- Embed tissue specimens and perform microtomy (sectioning).
- Stain histology slides using routine and special staining techniques.
- Assist with pathology, cytology, and immunohistochemistry (IHC) laboratory workflows.
- Ensure quality control and accurate documentation throughout the histology process.
- Follow all laboratory safety, infection control, and quality assurance standards.
Qualifications:- Minimum 2 years of recent Histotechnologist experience.
- ASCP HT or HTL certification required.
- Successful completion of a formal Histology Technologist training program or an Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological sciences.
- Experience in pathology laboratory specimen processing and slide preparation.
- Cerner experience preferred.
- Previous travel experience preferred.
Holiday Requirement: must work
2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and
1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve).
