Role: Home Health / Hospice Registered Nurse (RN)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Shift Details: 8-Hour Days (Monday–Friday, 0800–1700) + On-Call Rotation
Submission & Licensure Requirements
- License: State RN License required at time of submission.
- Certifications: Active BLS (AHA).
- Driver Requirements: Valid Driver’s License and active Auto Insurance required.
- Requested Time Off (RTO): All RTO must be submitted upfront; no additional RTO approved post-submission.
- CommonSpirit Restriction: Candidates cannot have been directly employed (FT, PT, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit facility (including CHI or Dignity) within the past 12 months.
- Radius Rule: 50-mile radius requirement.
Clinical Scope & Responsibilities
- Patient Demographics: Adults, Geriatrics, and Pediatrics.
- Key Duties: Initial physical/history assessments, care plan development, medication/treatment administration, patient/family education, physician updates (minimum every 60 days), equipment coordination, and Home Health Aide supervision/evaluation.
- Case Management: Acts as Case Manager when assigned, managing coordinated care for an assigned caseload.
- Territory Coverage: Covers up to a 60-mile radius around Dickinson, visiting private homes, nursing homes, and residential care facilities.
Compensation Note
- Mileage: Mileage is not paid separately; reimbursement is factored directly into the bill rate.

- EMR System: HomeCare HomeBase
- Dress Code: Any solid-color scrubs
Scheduling, Call & Policies
- On-Call Rotation: Evening, weekend, and holiday call required (24-hour call shifts on weekends and holidays).
- Cancellation Policy: Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment (or 3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks).
