Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) – Home Health

Morganton, North Carolina

We are seeking a Travel Occupational Therapist for a Home Health contract in Morganton, North Carolina. This opportunity is a great fit for an OT with home health experience who enjoys one-on-one patient care, schedule independence, and helping patients improve safety, ADLs, mobility, and independence in the home setting.

This role includes a home health caseload with approximately 6 visits per day and requires strong documentation, patient education, and comfort working independently in the field.

Responsibilities

• Perform occupational therapy evaluations and reassessments in the home setting.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs, safety, mobility, and functional independence.
• Treat patients with chronic disease, wound care needs, IV care, PleurX, wound vacs, and other home health diagnoses.
• Provide patient and caregiver education on safety, adaptive equipment, home exercise programs, and energy conservation.
• Complete timely documentation using HomeCare HomeBase.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, case managers, and the interdisciplinary care team.
• Manage visits independently while following home health compliance standards.

Requirements

• North Carolina OT license required.
• BLS required.
• Home health experience required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience required.
• OASIS training preferred.
• HomeCare HomeBase experience preferred.
• Driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
• First-time travelers may be accepted if seasoned in home health.
