Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health Occupational Therapist for a float position across Mass General Brigham's North Region, requiring 2 years of OT experience and active MA licensure.

Details

  • Home health setting providing OT services in patients' places of residence
  • North Region float coverage across Cape Ann Pod (Essex, Gloucester, Manchester, Rockport), Ipswich Pod, and North Pod (Amesbury, Bradford, Byfield, Georgetown, Groveland, Haverhill, Merrimack, Methuen, Newbury, Newburyport, Rowley, Salisbury, West Newbury)
  • 13-week assignment
  • Day shift schedule from 08:00-16:30
  • Patient population ranges in age from birth to over 100 years
  • Travel required within the geographic service area
  • Epic charting system used

Requirements

  • Active Massachusetts OT license required (license required if applicable)
  • MA Conditional licenses are not accepted
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in acute care, rehab, or home care as an Occupational Therapist
  • 1 year of certified home care OT licensure required
  • Registered with the Massachusetts Board of Registration
  • Proficiency with various computer software required
  • Knowledge of hand-held patient care computer devices preferred
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing situations

Additional Information

  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients with cognitive and/or physical impairments resulting from injury, disease, disability, or other causes
  • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, and other allied health professionals to identify needs and coordinate services
  • Manage technical, environmental, and financial resources related to patient care
  • Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
  • Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Boston to be considered for the local rate
  • Start date is contingent upon credentialing clearance and may be rescheduled if not cleared by the posted start date
