Description

American Traveler is seeking a Home Health Physical Therapist with Homecare Homebase/OASIS experience and 2+ years of recent experience for a 13-week assignment in Washington, DC.

Details

• Home health setting covering assigned zip codes within the District of Columbia based on staffing needs
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• May be required to float to cover another zip code as needed
• Uses Homecare Homebase (HCHB) and Pointcare EMR systems for documentation, including OASIS

Requirements

• BLS certification required
• DC license required if applicable
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the last 7 years, including OASIS-E experience
• Must have completed at least one previous travel assignment
• Homecare Homebase/OASIS experience required
• Experience with assessment, adaptive and assistive devices, body mechanics, pain assessment, and skin integrity monitoring
• Experience with cardiopulmonary and circulatory conditions including COPD and CHF preferred
• Experience with gait belts and Hoyer lifts preferred
• Experience with geriatric and orthopedic patient populations preferred
• Must maintain a reliable personal vehicle with current licensure and insurance for travel between patient visits

Additional Information

• Main responsibilities include providing physical therapy evaluation and treatment in patients' homes, developing home exercise programs, and educating patients and families
• Mileage between patient visits is reimbursed per mile driven from first to last patient of the day
• No RTO permitted during the first two weeks of the assignment, with a maximum of 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
• Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate
• Open to candidates with at least one completed travel assignment
